Dear TCWC Members and Supporters:

On
November 1st, the Tompkins County Workers' Center (TCWC) sent an email
to you asking if you would send an email to the Board of Tompkins
Cortland Community College (TC3) as well as TC3 President Carl Haynes. You took the Action, and we are thankful that you did so, as there is quite a vibrant campaign to ensure that TC3 does not fight the TC3 Adjunct Association campaign to unionize, and for which already has a majority of Adjuncts supporting.
Am
writing you now to ask if you would consider joining the Adjuncts and
the TCWC at the upcoming TC3 Monthly Board meeting that will take place
on Thursday, November 20th at 5:30 p.m.
as a show of solidarity for what the TC3 Adjuncts Association is hoping
to accomplish (that is, that TC3 'voluntarily recognize' their union!)
If you are able to attend, we are asking people to come to the Fireside Lounge at 5:15 p.m. (which is located in the main Academic Building at Tompkins Cortland Community College to Tompkins Cortland Community College - Google Maps,
After going into the front entrance of the Academic Building, find the
Fireside Lounge, which is up the second ramp on the right after you
enter). (You can park in Parking Lot 3 or 4; 4 is a bit closer).
We are asking people to be at the Board meeting until 6 to 6:15 p.m.
We will also be providing small and discreet signs (8 1/2 by 11) for
people to hold as Board Members arrive to meeting expressing our support
for the Adjuncts Association.
If you are able to come, but can't promise you can be @ TC3 by 5:15, the Board meeting takes place in Room 201.
