On Black Friday, November 23rd, the Ithaca community will hold a protest rally on the sidewalks outside of Wal-Mart on Elmira Road/Route 13 in Ithaca. The rally will begin at 9am and last until 11 a.m. Friday morning.
Says Tompkins County Workers' Center Community Union Organizer, Nick Sledzonia: "Our presence outside of Wal-Mart will be a show of solidarity with Wal-Mart workers across the country who are working to improve their wages and working conditions. These workers are putting their jobs and well-being on the line."
